Here is there perfect way to keep track of what you've done
COOKING MERIT BADGE TRACKER 2016
And to keep track of when to meet with your counselor and what you need parents and scoutmaster to do you can view or print this:

I made new worksheets.  They are much easier to work with than the BSA version, which doesn't quite have a place for everything they ask you to do.  Let me know if you have any suggestions or issues.  If the formatting looks funky try downloading it first, but they are all PDFs so it should be fine.

I finally have a working draft of a comprehensive chart that can include ALL the information you need for each meal.  It isn't required that you use it, but I really think it will be easier for you in the long run, (it’s also easier for me).
One issue I've had with Menu Planning is that the scouts will have a menu that says something like “Hungry Man’s Mash” which doesn’t tell me at all what is in it.  I’ve also seen the opposite where there is a list of foods but I have to guess what the finished product will be and how it is prepared.  The chart should be helpful in clarifying that.
MEAL PLANNING-ONE PAGE PER MEAL
BRAINSTORMING --BLANK MyPlate You can put this in a sheet protector or laminate it and use a dry erase marker on it.

After you've made your menu you can stick these labels on to each meal to help you keep track of which meal counts for what and then use the checklists below to make sure you know what that meal needs.
STICKERS/LABELS

These are to help you when you are working on the meals that you actually cook.  It makes it easier to double check that you are getting everything done that you need to for THAT meal.

Here is one version of an evaluation.  You can use this or make your own.

This BSA document explains some of the differences in the old and new requirements.
OLD AND NEW REQUIREMENT COMPARISON

I do make a lot of formatting changes (although I don't change the wording) but sometimes it might be good to read over the requirements the way the BSA wrote them (especially when looking for loopholes) so here's that.
